Your child has a permission slip to be part of the House Championship field trip to Dollywood! Permission slips must be returned tomorrow along with $20, which covers 1/2 of the ticket cost.

MVI Families,
Though this is the last week of school, there is still a lot of celebrating to do! Please remember the gym doors will open 15 minutes before the scheduled award start time. All students will be celebrated!
The Book Fair will also be open in the Media Center all week!
Please help us meet our goal! All proceeds from the sale of Robert Beatty's newest title, Sylvia Doe and the 100-Year Flood, will go to WNC charities. In partnership with Mr. Beatty, I am organizing a fundraiser to sell 100 books at $20 each. Please read the flyer and let me know if you have any questions. One suggestion is to purchase a copy for your child's classroom library. I will place a bookplate inside the front cover with the donor's name.

Make plans to join us this Thursday evening for our Fall Festival from 5pm - 7pm. This is not an event that students can be dropped off and picked up later. Students must be accompanied by an adult.

Bus 44 will not run this morning. As of now, it is scheduled to run this afternoon. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Bus 163 will not run tomorrow afternoon, Friday, Sept. 6.
Also, don't forget tonight's last information meeting for 6th grade students to travel to Washington DC in November. This will be in the Media Center at 6:30pm.

Please watch your email for instructions on how to access and set-up your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. Infinite Campus is our new Student Information System that will replace Powerschool. More information can be found under the Parent Resources section of our website or by accessing the document below.

Check out the Scholastic Book Fair this week in the MVI media center. Families are welcome to attend before or after awards ceremonies. Visit the book fair webpage for more information, including directions to set up an e-wallet for your student. All proceeds benefit the media center. Thank you!

Please remind students that all library materials are due by May 13. First, they should check their emails to see the titles of the books still on their accounts. (Look at the most recent email notification.) Then, if they have any questions, send them to see Mrs. Holland, the media specialist.
