Week 29 3/24-3/28
This is Goria Painter, the Assistant Principal at Iotla Valley Elementary. I am calling to share some important announcements for this week.
The Theater Arts Club will meet on Monday and Tuesday. Practice on Monday and Tuesday will end at the regularly scheduled time and will be dismissed before afternoon buses.
We will host a Special Olympics parade for our students competing this year on Tuesday. We encourage all of our students to wear their IVE t-shirts to show support for our Paw Pack.

Our Student Lighthouse Team is collecting donations of food and supplies for our local animal rescues. Students can bring various wet or dry dog and cat foods, toys, blankets, Lysol spray, disinfecting wipes, mop solutions, and trash bags. Our Paws for a Cause drive will continue until the 28th of March.
All Chick-fil-A Cookie Fundraiser money and order forms are due tomorrow, March 24th.
This Friday is Hat Day. Bring $1 to wear your hat during school.
A reminder that there will be no Pre-K classes this Friday.

Spring Break starts next week. Students will return to school on April 7th.

Attendance Matters: Good attendance is crucial for school success, beginning in prekindergarten and continuing throughout elementary school. By middle and high school, poor attendance becomes a significant indicator of dropout risk. Cultivating attendance habits equips students for success in their careers and in life.

The All-County Chorus Performance will take place at 6:00 PM this Friday at the First Baptist Church.
There will be no Pre-K school on March 28th.
Attendance Matters: We understand that sickness occurs. Please make sure your child is fever, diarrhea, and vomit free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school. Once a student has reached 10 absences with a parent's handwritten note, it is required that any further absences must come from a doctor to be excused. Please ensure absence notes are turned in within 3 days of the student's return to school.

Update on Bus 21- the bus will not run in the mornings through next Tuesday. The bus will run in the afternoons. After next Tuesday, bus 21 will run on a normal schedule. Sorry for the inconvenience.
