This is Goria Painter, the Assistant Principal at Iotla Valley Elementary. I am calling with some important announcements for this week.
The 3rd and 4th-grade Choir Club will meet after school on Monday.
Our school’s Winter Program the Night Before Christmas will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 pm and Wednesday at 9:00 am.
1st and 2nd grade parents - We are asking that students wear pajamas that are school appropriate and preferably Christmas or Winter in color or design. Please plan for your child to attend both performances as their participation is important for our show to succeed.

For students who have signed up for the Good New Club - the Christmas Party will be held on Thursday from 3:00 - 4:30. These permission slips have already been returned.
Santa’s Shop will start on Friday, December 6th.

Parents and Guardians if there is a change in how your student(s) are getting home please call the school by 2:00 pm, so that we can ensure the correct communication takes place. We understand that there are emergencies. Planning in advance ensures our students' safety as they make their way to their afterschool destinations.

4th Grade Data Day will be held on Wednesday at 12:45 pm.
Our Veterans Day program will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 in the school gymnasium.
Our 3rd and 4th Graders will participate in the NC Check-Ins. Reading will take place on Thursday and Math on Friday.
Wear your IVE t-shirts for Spirit Day on Friday.
A reminder that Monday is the Veterans Day Holiday. There will be no school.
Attendance Information: One way to help your student with their attendance is to try to schedule non-urgent related medical appointments and extended trips when school isn’t in session.

Iotla Valley families. This is a reminder, tomorrow is an early release day. All students must be picked up by 11:30 AM.
Week 11 - 10/28 - 11/1

The 3rd and 4th grade Choir Club will meet after school on Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday is a half-day for students. Car riders will be dismissed at 11:15 and buses at 11:30. All students must be picked up by 11:30.
Thursday students may wear their Halloween costumes. Please be mindful of school appropriateness. No mask or weapons.
Attendance Information: Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school and themselves. Start building this habit in elementary school so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Eventually, good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in middle and high school, college, and their careers.
